Staff To Present Draft Climate Action Plan to City Council 9/7/10 at 7pm

The City of Santa Cruz has completed the Draft Climate Action Plan which outlines programs and actions necessary to meet the City's greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals. City Staff will present the Plan to City Council for initial review and comment. A public comment period will begin on this date and close on November 7, 2010.

This workshop is a kick-off of the public review process.  Council will not be considering the Plan for adoption at this time.  In the coming months, staff will make presentations to various City commissions as well as conduct public outreach.  Formal hearings by City Council, to consider acceptance of the Climate Action Plan, will be conducted this winter.
